It's Valentine's week and the highly anticipated movie, Fifty Shades of Grey, comes out in theaters. While I like to celebrate the day of love, with family as well as my significant other, this years seems to be geared more towards the kinky love. No pressure at all about what you're wearing that day right? Wrong. How do you pull off the right amount of sexy without looking sleazy? Here's a little wardrobe inspiration on how to wear a leather dress for Valentine's Day, especially if you plan on seeing this movie. Let me know which one is your favorite!
Look 1: Pretty in Pink and Pleather
Black leather (or faux leather like this sweetheart dress from H&M (sold out)) has a tendency to look harsh and in the form of a dress can be skimpy so play it up with a pretty color. I've added a pink and gold necklace with gold studs from the Luxe Boutique, pink and gold bangles that I've had for a while and pink suede pumps by Ivanka Trump. This look can be worn with or without a blazer since the necklace is bold but for the sake of winter, I added this beautiful blazer that I picked up at a thrift shop.
Look 2: Nerds Need Love Too
If you're not a fan of the bare-look tube top, look two is for you. I've added a white semi-sheer polka dotted button down from the Gap, a golden link belt from the Luxe Boutique and nude Steve Madden pumps. If you really want to get festive, add a red cardigan. Become the ultimate lovable nerd by adding glasses. Perfect!
Look 3: Minimalist Lover
You can't go wrong with black and white. Well technically you can but in this instance, I've added a sleek white blazer from Express, funky statement "Lipstick Lover" earrings (sold out) and a tatted necklace from the Luxe Boutique, and black suede French Connection pumps. Yes, I have a thing for suede shoe!
