Today's manicure Monday (#ManiMonday) is an introduction to and review on the Kiss Design Perfection DIY manicure design kit.  Basically, it's a small package of nail stickers that allows you to cover an area of your nail while you paint the rest to create clean cut straight or curved lines and designs.  There are four styles; Chevron, French, Half-moon and Sweetheart with a total of 86 pieces.

Initially, I wanted to purchase nail tape on Amazon but couldn't wait, so I decided to look in my local pharmacies.  I found the Kiss Design Perfection pack at Walgreens for only $2.99.  I expected it to cost more but I'm glad it wasn't.  I also purchased 2 Valentine's Day inspired nail polishes by Covergirl (outlast- stay brilliant).  The light pink is called "Constant Candy" and the fuchsia is called "Fuchsia Flame."

First, I applied two coats of Constant Candy and left it to dry for about 20 - 30 minutes.  Then I applied the tape and began trying different styles and patterns with the Fuchsia Flame, see below.

After painting the parts of my nail that I wanted to design, I began gently peeling the stickers off. I was pretty cool. My favorite styles were the Chevron and the Sweetheart.  Ultimately, I decided to go with the Sweetheart on all my nails.

Kiss Design Perfection Review: 3 out of 5 stars.  I gave it this grade because the adhesive was too strong. After peeling the stickers off of my nails, some were fine, while the polish was lifted off of others.  It's not the company's fault that my nail polish wasn't completely dry but whether I go to the salon or do my nails myself at home, I shouldn't have to spend more than an hour on them.  I did not like that their tutorial video used pre-polished press on nails.  It goes to show and prove my point that, if you want to use Kiss Design Perfection, you have to 1) wait a couple of hours until your nails are completely dry, 2) use a fast drying gel polish or 3) use a pre-polished press-on.

I do like the four shapes and endless possibilities.  I would hope to see more tutorials on their Facebook with more than just 2 colors.  All in all, pretty cool product.  I'd buy it again and recommend it.
