It's an effortless trick I've been using all summer long, especially when I don't feel like wearing heels.

Floppy hats might come across a little overwhelming or pretentious at first but once you're sitting on the beach in the hot summer sun, you'll appreciate it and sip your coconut drink as though you're on the cast of Sex and the City. Besides, vacation is one of the best times to dress up and have fun.

Putting together an entire outfit can be exhausting so my go-to is a dress or romper. It's one piece and easy to glam up in small simple ways. Step out of your 9am-5pm office wardrobe and explore colors, frills and thrills.

5. Sexy Swimsuit

I'm talking about what makes YOU feel sexy, not "angels" sexy (unless that's all you then go ahead). Remember my rule when shopping, don't knock it 'til you try it. It will look way more flattering on your body than on a hanger and if it's not the one, then move along. It's okay! Just go for it and you'll know when you feel amazing. Pack that bad boy and rock it on your vacation like you're the star on the beach.

These may be "so last year" or the year before that but I still love them because you won't have to worry about losing your valuable while frolicking through the sand and city.
